It’s official! The Tulane University Goldring/Woldenberg Complex which houses the A.B. Freeman School of Business is LEED Gold certified! Manning Architects worked with Pelli Clarke Pelli to design the addition which ties together two separate buildings and brings the graduate and undergraduate programs under one roof.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the ratings system for buildings striving toward sustainability. The Goldring/Woldenberg Complex addition includes the following components which helped achieve the gold status: sunshades on every level of the 215’-0” long, 53’-0” tall curtanwall, a frat pattern on the same wall which reduces bird collision, recycled construction and demolition waste, a Cool Roof, occupancy sensors on both the light fixtures and HVAC controls.
